Jordan joins M83.

For those of you who have not yet heard the news...

Future Future's very own lead singer, Jordan Lawlor will be taking the next year or so to tour in French band M83 (ilovem83.com) to play guitar, bass, keyboards and sing around the world. They are on their way to Portland, Oregon to perform as we speak. This obviously marks an official hiatus for Future Future, but considering the sheer value of such an experience, we can surely say it is only for the best. We are all tremendously proud of our Jordan, and of his incomparable talent which allowed him into a world-class act single-handly through a 2-minute Youtube audition. In the mean time, tune in to watch Jordan perform with the band on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon on the evening of November 21st, and sometime this month on Last Call with Carson Daly. I want to thank everyone who has ever supported Future Future throughout this young chapter of our careers, and the two of us together will see you all again sometime in the Autumn of 2012.

5-4-10 Show

As many of you know, Future Future was scheduled to play in direct support of a band called Cymbals Eat Guitars at the Wonder Bar in Asbury Park, NJ on May 4, 2010. We were very excited for this show, as it was a great opportunity. And so we arrived at the venue yesterday at about 7:00 PM. There were some good friends there to greet us, and the weather was perfect. At the very second we opened the door, we were stopped and informed that the venue has set a boundary that not a soul under 21 years of age was permitted in the building after 9:00 PM. Obviously, this meant that we weren't going to be able to perform. This was especially frustrating, considering the fact that we've played at this very venue free of problems at least three times in the past. And well, two 2-hour car rides, a fully loaded van and a shit-ton of promotion later, I suppose there's nothing we can do but forget it ever happened.

Finally, I want to thank and apologize to all the fans who supported us in making the drive to Asbury Park to see us perform. It meant a lot to us.
